Trevor Robinson
Trevor Robinson is the Founder, Chief Executive and lead consultant of this firm. His 25 year business career has been spent entirely in the financial markets, working for such blue chip companies as Mars Confectionery Ltd, E.D.&F. Man Ltd, Discount Corporation of New York, and Scottish Provident Life Assurance, where he was responsible for designing one of the first five-year "Guaranteed Equity Bonds" launched in the UK market.
More recently, in his role as a Director of Fidelity Investment Services Ltd and of Fidelity Pensions Management Ltd, the two main operating subsidiaries outside America of the renowned investment management company Fidelity Management & Research of Boston, Trevor was responsible for all transactions in derivatives, covering equities, bonds and currencies.
He has helped the UK regulatory authorities in designing and implementing sensible guidelines on how derivatives should be used in UK unit trusts and insurance funds. He has served on the Institutional Advisory Group of LIFFE, the London International Financial Futures and Options Exchange and is a regular speaker at conferences on derivatives. He has served on an IMRO Disciplinary Tribunal and been an "expert witness" in legal cases involving derivatives and other investment activities.
In March 2003, the UK's National Association of Pension Funds (NAPF) published a booklet entitled "Equity Derivatives Made Simple". Trevor is the author of this booklet. Copies are available from the NAPF.
